Cover Reveal: Nine Tenths by Jeff Macfee

December 8, 2021 by David W Leave a Comment

Thanks to Jeff, Lisa, and the rest of the team over at JABberwocky Literary Agency, Inc. for allowing FFA the opportunity to reveal the cover for Jeff’s debut novel, Nine Tenths. It’s an excellent, fast-paced intersection of noir, urban fantasy, and supervillains. Or, from an author comparison point-of-view, Stephen Blackmoore, Harry Dresden, and VE Schwab’s […]

November 11, 2021 by David W Leave a Comment

Have you ever stared at a computer screen, waiting for good plot ideas? Have you ever discarded one after another after another, as each of them seem thin, dull, or pointless? Have you ever looked at your burgeoning story and thought, I Want My Plot To Be A Lot But It’s Not?  We all have at […]

Review: Dreams of the Dying (Enderal #1) by Nicolas Lietzau

November 3, 2021 by Justin 2 Comments

As you can probably tell by now, my feelings on Dreams of the Dying are really mixed. It seems like everything I liked about it also happened to be its greatest flaws. Take the worldbuilding, for instance. I loved how deep Lietzau went with the worldbuilding, giving us two unique cultures and fantastical creatures galore.

Review: Among Thieves by M.J. Kuhn

October 20, 2021 by Justin 2 Comments

Among Thieves is the debut novel from author M.J. Kuhn, but you’d never guess that from reading it. Among Thieves is a slick heist novel centered around a group of outlaws planning and attempting the heist of a priceless object from the one place in the world that may be impossible to burgle and the last man in the world they’d wish to piss off. What follows is a story chock full of adventure, mayhem, and snark. I’m so angry that I sat on this ARC for so long!

Review: Among Thieves by M.J. Kuhn

September 15, 2021 by Manny Henri Leave a Comment

Before I tell you why I cherished this book (without spoilers), I simply want to say WOW. Among Thieves is a first-novel triumph for M.J. Kuhn and in my top ten list for 2021! M.J. demonstrated she had a marvelous writing ability and just carved herself a seat at the table with the brilliant authors of our time, and can’t wait to read what she comes up with next. Bravo!
