I’m always shocked that Iron Gold is considered the weakest book in the series by many people. It’s the best book in the series by a significant margin. With Light Bringer’s recent release, I’ve been seeing rankings popping up again. This is my response to the crime being committed at seeing Iron Gold consistently ranking at the bottom.

Review: Fly with the Arrow (Bluebeard’s Secret #1) by Sarah K.L. Wilson
Fly with the Arrow is a clever retelling with a fantasy twist. Wilson’s world building reminds me of Holly Black’s Folk of the Air series where cruelty, trickery and riddles are on tap, wild fae creatures are a plenty, and plotting and scheming are their favorite pastimes.
Review: Some Desperate Glory by Emily Tesh
Emily Tesh’s Greenhollow Duology ranks high on my list of favorite novellas of all time. Tesh is talented at evoking emotion and transporting the reader directly into the story with very few words. It’s safe to say that I was eager in my anticipation of Tesh’s debut novel, Some Desperate Glory.

Book Tour Review: The Way of Unity (Velspar – Elegies Book 1) by Sarah K. Balstrup
The Seven Lands of Velspar put their faith in the Intercessors, a psychic priesthood responsible for the purification of the spirit. Where passion flares, they soothe its intent. Those who cannot be soothed, are cast out, their spirits destroyed by fire.

For the last four years, Misty’s husband, Skye, has given her silver rings. But as their lives change, she learns that the rings are more than she once believed.
Review: A Shade of Madness (The Ashes of Avarin #2) by Thiago Abdalla
Brimming with intrigue, betrayals, plot twists, frenzied madness, and fervor worship, A Shade of Madness is aptly named and an extraordinary showcase in characterization and well controlled pacing.
