Hello all and welcome to FanFiAddict’s monthly list of books we think you should be excited about. We’re a little late in posting this month, but we didn’t want to pass up the opportunity to hype you up on some great science fiction and fantasy releases coming your way. So, without further ado, here’s a bunch of books we think you need to check out this month.
Self Published
Book Tour: Dragon Mage (Rivenworld #1) by ML Spencer
Review: The Sword in the Street (The Ink and the Steel #1) by C.M. Caplan
The Sword in the Street has been one of the hardest books for me to review. I’ve been putting it off for a while now, fiddling with the draft over and over. Not because I don’t have anything to say about it or that it was bad in any way. If anything, maybe it’s because I am too close to it. It was a very emotional read for me.
Book Tour: The Headlock of Destiny (Titan Wars #1) by Samuel Gately
The thing that initially drew me to this book (besides its amazing cover!) was the completely absurd concept. First of all, who’d have thought of combining a fantasy world with professional wrestling? And, further, who’d have guessed it could be pulled off this well? Well, that’s just what Gately has done.
Cover Reveal + Q&A: Pieces of Eight (The Guardian of Empire City #2) by Peter Hartog
Hello all and welcome to the cover reveal for Pieces of Eight, the sequel to Bloodlines and second book in The Guardian of Empire City series by Peter Hartog! I really loved the first book in this series so I am excited to reveal to you the cover for the sequel as well as a few other goodies, such a short Q&A with Peter and when you can expect to get your hands on Pieces of Eight. I’m practically foaming at the mouth in anticipation, myself.
Cover Reveal + Q&A: Of Darkness and Light (The Bound and the Broken #2)
Hello all and welcome to another cover reveal! Today we’re excited to give the first look at Ryan Cahill’s return to The Bound and the Broken with the cover reveal for the sequel to Of Fire and Blood, Of Darkness and Light. Ryan has provided us with all kinds of goodies to share today, so be sure to stick around through the end of the article to get a good look at everything we have to show off.
Review: Horns of the Hunter (Tales of Luah Fáil #1) by Frank Dorrian
Horns of the Hunter is a standalone novella set in Luah Fáil, a setting that will be familiar to those who have read some of Dorrian’s earlier works. I was completely sold upon seeing the wonderful cover by Felix Ortiz and Shawn T. King. Anyone who says they don’t judge a book by its cover is a liar.
Book Tour: The Throne of Ice & Ash (The Runewar Saga #1) by J.D.L. Rosell
Hello and welcome to FanFiAddict’s stop on the book tour for J.D.L. Rosell’s The Throne of Ice & Ash (The Runewar Saga #1). We want to thank Justine & Timy @ Storytellers on Tour for letting us be involved and a big shoutout to J.D.L. on the recent release of The Throne of Ice & Ash.
Review: Sairo’s Claw (Gensokai #3) by Virginia McClain
Sairo’s Claw is the third installment in Virginia McClain’s Gensokai series, though each book is a standalone set in the same universe. I have not read the first two, but this book is adventurous and fun, with interesting storylines and complex, nuanced characters.
Cover Reveal + Q&A: An Altar on the Village Green (The Chained God #1) by Nathan Hall
Hello everyone and welcome to the cover reveal for Nathan Hall’s debut Fantasy/Horror novel, An Altar on the Village Green, book one of The Chained God series! I am really excited to read this book as soon as ARCs are available. From the amazing cover by Luke Tarzian, to the blurb, and the glowing endorsement from Sarah Chorn, excited might be an understatement.
