Synopsis:
In Epheria, you are the predators. Here, you are the prey.
Almost four hundred years have passed since the fall of The Order. Four hundred years since the empire rose. Four hundred years since the last dragon egg hatched.
In the icy wasteland of Valacia, Aeson Virandr searches for the one thing that could turn the tide of war: hope. But there is a reason no soul has ever returned from Valacia.
Hope comes at a cost—one that can only be paid in blood.
The Ice is a companion novella to The Bound and The Broken series. It is not a standalone. Previous books in the series should be listened to first
Review:
Wow, what another spectacular ride in Ryan Cahills world of The Bound And The Broken series. This is fast becoming one my favourite series of all time. It has absolutely everything a fantasy reader wants and this collusal series is just so bloody epic.
The Ice is a wonderful short story of sacrifice and hope against an empire that has destroyed everything that was good and rules with a dark shadow and fear over the land of Epheria for the last 400 years. There may just be a ray of light if this little expedition goes to plan.
In this short story Aeson Virandr puts an expedition together. Old friends and New and some sell swords are bound for the icy waste land of Valacia with a goal that he can bring some hope and turn tide the to the wartorn land of Epheria. And that hope is a live Dragon egg that will hatch for the first time in 400 years.
What i love about this series is that it is so action-packed, fast-paced and epic Blood curdling battles. If you love Dragons with magical bonds to their riders, monsters, A diverse set of characters and just some fantastic storytelling at its finest then look no further than Ryan Cahills The Bound And The Broken series. I promise you will not regret it and I highly recommend to every fantasy fan out there…😁🐲🐉⚡️❄️
