Rating: 10/10

Synopsis

Dien Hostain was never meant to lead. She wasn’t meant to survive.

Kind of heart and quick in temper, Dien expects to lead a simple life, learning her father’s trade. But unbeknown to her, he was not always a carpenter. He’s an exile, a traitor once known as the Peace Breaker.

When nightmarish demons attack the village of Berrywhistle, her father is murdered. Dien and the survivors are taken as thralls to live out the rest of their days in squaller and back-breaking labour. But Dien’s blood boils with the need to escape and take her revenge.

They try to break her body. They try to break her spirit.

Will Dien take up her father’s hammer and unite her people?

On wings of vengeance, a Saint shall rise.

A new epic fantasy saga full of angels, demons, heroes, and mystery, from award-winning author Rob J. Hayes. Perfect for fans of Brandon Sanderson, John Gwynne, and Ryan Cahill.

Review

Demons balls, that was bloody dark, brutal, and cannibalistically very disturbing, and I loved every moment of it, damn my mind is still racing. I thought Rob J. Hayes War Eternal series was his darkest stuff yet, but this book has just made it look like a children’s bed story. In my opinion, this book is the grim of the crop of horror and the authors best series to date.

Demon is the first book in the Archive Of The GodEater trilogy, a Saga every fantasy fan needs to get their hands on this Saga when it’s finally released 6 Aug. 2024 on amazon. The very first chapter, you know, in your gut that things are about to get dark and eerie very quickly, leaving you glued to every word and page.

Demon is a monstrous tale of depravity by both demons and humans where to survive is like a lottery or you end up in the pot. This story is not for the faint of heart. it’s bloody gory, viscous, and some scenes may just leave you with nightmares.

Rob J.Hayes’ writing is incredible. The way he draws you in with his sublime plot and setting and giving you no hope as it slips away for its characters as he swings, chops, and guts like a demon himself.

In this grimalicious story, our main protagonist, Dien Hostain, is a robustious and firey character. Her love for her family and friends holds no bounds until it is shattered and brutally taken when her village is attacked by demons. Watching people she has known all her life torn to shredds for sport.

When Dien and her friend are finally captured. They are led to a place where there is no hope, enslaved, caged, worked to death and eaten, and their humanity stripped from them slowly from day to day. But with Dien, and who she is, will not lie down so easily. Can she escape the pot and bring vengeance upon the demons and those who betrayed her. It’s Hammer time. On wings of vengeance, a Saint shall rise.

I can not implore you enough that when The GodEater Saga is finally released, check it out. You won’t regret it. I very highly recommended…🪓🗡🔥👹
