Blood Of Elves totally changed my views towards the Witcher series! I definitely enjoyed this book more than the previous 2 books!
The world building is there, the magic system was explained through Ciri’s lessons with Yennefer, the process of becoming a Witcher and the Witcher’s trainings were also explained in greater detail…. Everything that I expected of a fantasy series were decently explored by Andrzej Sapkowski!
I have to admit, this book focuses a lot on Ciri, the Child of Destiny whom everyone in the world (including the magicians, Nilfgaardians, the monarchs and etc.) as she had some important role to play in each parties’ plans. Some might dislike the fact that Ciri took the spotlight for this book but I am fine with it. I enjoyed reading Ciri’s relationship with Geralt, Yennefer, and the other Witchers in the Witchers’ Keep. I loved the fact that the politics of the countries as well as the element of conspiracy were included in this entry. All in all, this entry deserves a strong 4/5 star rating from me!
P. S. Netflix just released some images of Geralt, Yennefer, Ciri and the Witcher’s logo, which were all awesome!
