MAYDAYCON 2020 Wrap-Up – Thank Yous, Panels & Readings

May 19, 2020 by David W Leave a Comment

Hot dog hotdog hot diggity dog, WHAT A FREAKIN’ CONVENTION, Y’ALL!!!!

A HUGE thank you to all panel participants and readers, and a special thank you to all who tuned in to the LIVE recordings.

This convention started out as Nick Martell and I deciding that, after we finished our podcast chat, we wanted to set up a Facebook Live event where we would talk books, video games, movies, TV shows, etc. and, as you can tell, turned into something WAY BIGGER. Thanks to Mike Shackle, Jeremy Szal, and a couple of other authors who shall remain nameless, we went from a one (1) author and one (1) blogger chat to thirty-five (35) authors on panels and seven (7) live readings with some additional authors to that count with one (1) blogger who was more than exhausted by the end of the fourteen (14) hour day. Having said that, I am still sitting here, giddy as all get-out as to what was accomplished on Saturday May 16th. I don’t mean to toot my own horn, but the fact that I pulled this off by myself in a near seamless way blows my mind.

Obviously, it could not have happened without everyone buying in and making it a successful day and I just cannot express how appreciative I am.

With all that being said, I have compiled the ENTIRE day here for your viewing/listening pleasure. If you haven’t had a chance to check them out, I HIGHLY suggest you do. There is a plethora of amazing content to be found!

You should be proud of yourself for pulling this Virtual Con off, and by yourself! My “review” of the Con will be posted later this week! I will warn you (and everyone else) that it’ll be more about how we all should be using the time to our advantage, which is exactly what you and all of the participants did!
