Cover Reveal – The Hytharo Origin by Jonathan Weiss

May 15, 2024 by Charlie Cavendish Leave a Comment

Today I have the pleasure of bringing you the cover reveal for The Hytharo Origin, Book Two of The First Hytharo series by Jonathan Weiss. Luckily you don’t have too long to wait to get your hands on this beauty.

All of the details including the blurb and release date are below:

Blurb:

HISTORY WILL REPEAT

SPIRIC MUST CHANGE IT

A litany of bloody memories showed Spiric the truth of his identity. A thousand years have passed since the fall of The Hytharo Empire, leaving him the sole survivor of the brutal regime. Now an anomaly among The Droughtlands, he must find a way to stop history from repeating or be forced to relive the suffering his people caused.

But his presence has already invoked echoes of his past.

Journeying to Breggesa to follow a fragment of his stolen memory, Spiric finds a sprawling city on the verge of revolt. Its people are starving, its ruling council intent on lining their own pockets, and when Spiric discovers the power behind their tyranny, he realises he’s not the only Hytharo trying to change the future.

Author Bio:

Jonathan Weiss is an Australian Fantasy & Science Fiction author of The Flux Catastrophe and The First Hytharo series. Ever since being a small boy he hunted for the best way to tell stories, dabbling in stop motion before eventually finding a passion for  writing as a teenager. More than a decade later he’d gathered a bachelor’s degree of Journalism and a career in commercial cloud sales, yet they were never as satisfying as writing.

With the support of his artist wife and a trio of pet budgies, he’s now dedicated himself to a full-time career as an author. When not writing, Jonathan can be found reading, working through the never-ending queue of un-painted Warhammer 40,000 models and attempting to fit far too much food on his tiny barbeque.

This book is the second in one of my two current series, both of which are set in the same world of The Droughtlands, 30 years apart from each other. Both series are largely separate works, but reading them in the alternating order I’m releasing them in will expose readers to new and interesting easter eggs and plotlines, if they choose to do so. About Charlie Cavendish

Hey I’m Charlie!

I’m old enough to have seen the original Star Wars trilogy at the cinema which may account for the grey hairs on my head. I currently live in Sydney (Australia) with my wife, three teenage children, and two pugs. I have spent about half my life in the UK and the balance in Australia so tend to have a strong English sense of humour.

I’ve always loved books and reading but stumbled into the world of indie authors/self-publishing after making the “brave” leap onto Twitter in 2022. This proved to be a revelation and I have been getting involved in the community ever since, with my main area of interest being on indie SFF books. That said I’m always keen to read as widely as possible.

I’m keen to help promote indie authors and so thought I’d try my hand at writing a few reviews, it’s early days so please bear with me.

Outside of reading and the book community, I love running, my pugs, and my family (not in that order).
