Cover Reveal: Shadows Within (Silver Empire Book 2) by Timo Burnham

May 22, 2024 by Andy Peloquin Leave a Comment

FanFiAddict is thrilled to host the cover reveal for Shadows Within, the second book in Timo Burnham’s Silver Empire series.

Fans of progression fantasy will want to pay attention to this one–it’s a fast-paced, martial arts-focused progression series with an emotional core.

The first book’s cover sets the expectations right off the bat:

And boy, does Book 2 step it up!

But first, here’s what you need to know…

Synopsis:

Ryushu has survived the brutal climb up the mountain and passed the entrance test. But this is only the first small step on his journey. As training begins, he will have to deal with his own weakness while traversing rivalries and potential romance.

Across the continent, Zashou is out of his element, dealing with courtiers and politicians as he tries to convince the Emperor to send aid to Oroto. What begins as a simple task quickly becomes complicated as he uncovers assassination attempts, secret cults and develops a closer-than-proper relationship with the mother of the Emperor.

As Zash navigates the world of courts, The Black Sun sends his lieutenant through Oroto, recruiting those who surrender and killing those who wont.

As darkness spreads through the outer provinces, Both Ryushu and Zashou discover that evil isn’t only on the outside. There are also Shadows Within.

Sounds interesting?

Behold, the epic, colorful, action-packed cover in all its glory:

Release Date: 1st June, 2024

Artist: Neutron Boar

About the Author:

Timo Burnham has done a wide variety of jobs in his life, from things as different as night security, game tester and acrobatics instructor. From these jobs he’s gathered plenty of fascinating material to use in his books. He enjoys both reading and writing fast-paced stories with lots of action, adventure and mystery as well as some drama and romance on the side. Maybe one day he will be able to sit still long enough to write one of those so-called “epics”, but until then his stories’ are lean, mean and straight to the point.

About Andy Peloquin

I am, first and foremost, a storyteller and an artist--words are my palette. Fantasy and science fiction are my genres of choice, and I love to explore the darker side of human nature through the filter of heroes, villains, and everything in between. I'm also a freelance writer, a book lover, and a guy who just loves to meet new people and spend hours talking about my fascination for the worlds I encounter in the pages of fantasy and sci-fi novels.
Speculative fiction provides us with an escape, a way to forget about our mundane problems and step into worlds where anything is possible. It transcends age, gender, religion, race, or lifestyle--it is our way of believing what cannot be, delving into the unknowable, and discovering hidden truths about ourselves and our world in a brand-new way. Fiction at its very best!
