COVER REVEAL: Reign of Demons (War of the Last Day #3) by Karim Soliman

February 17, 2023 by David W Leave a Comment

Massive thank you to Karim for allowing FFA to host the cover reveal for the trilogy finale of his ‘War of the Last Day’ series, Reign of Demons.

If you have been checking out the site for some time, you’ll remember that we did the reveal for his prequel novella, The Third Crossing, last summer (see the cover below)

A prequel novel to the SPFBO Semi-finalist Army of the Cursed

The drums of war are beating in Koya. By the Light’s will, the Red Cloaks shall cross the sea under His holy banner, the ancient homeland will be restored, the slaughtered ancestors will be avenged, and the damned occupants will all perish.

By the Light’s will, the Third Crossing shall happen.

Akira will be one of the heroes of the upcoming holy war; that’s the seer’s promise to his mother. He will outshine his fellow mages, don the red cloak, and join the Light’s own soldiers. He will bring victory to his people and honor to his family, clearing its name from his father’s shame.

Or that’s what Akira thinks. Because seers can be devious sometimes.

From the rural side of Koya enters Natsu as she assumes her late husband’s place and takes the smuggling underworld by storm. Her shocking rise provokes not only the Koyan navy, but also her rivals, and a fierce war ensues on land and sea. A war she can only win if she shakes hands with the smugglers’ deadliest enemies; the Red Cloaks themselves.

For honor and coin, Akira and Natsu will forge a shaky alliance, both knowing that one of them will eventually have to betray the other. Trust could be a grave mistake in these dark times of war. If you wish to be the last one standing, you must be ready to be the first to stab in the back.

Also thought I would throw these out there, just in case you need refreshers on Books 1 & 2 🙂

SPFBO 2021 Semi-finalist

Everybody knew the Cursed were coming.
Nobody knew how to defeat them.

The Goranians thought they were ready to face demons in battle. But when the foretold War of the Last Day begins, one fact becomes clear: the doom of mankind is just a matter of time. Now its fate rests in the hands of a hapless trio.

A mage’s apprentice who relies on her wits rather than magic.

A princess who seeks the ultimate weapon against demons, but first, she has to survive the turmoil of civil war.

And a warrior whose swordplay could prove more useful against a threat graver than the bandits infesting his village.

Why those three in particular? How can they possibly kill what cannot be killed? Well, that’s what they must figure out together, and they must figure it out soon enough. Because nigh is the ruination of the entire human race.

Nigh is the Age of the Cursed.

ARMY OF THE CURSED is an epic ride for those who love character-driven fantasy. Brace for a tale of magic, betrayals, and fear of the unknown, and lose yourself in the world of Gorania.

The fall of Paril paves the way for the Cursed Army to invade the rest of Gorania. Thousands of runaways from all six kingdoms flock north to the Frozen Forest, and humanity is put to the test as the Goranians are about to fight each other to the death for their place in Karun’s Cave.

Nardine and her mother believe they still have a slim fighting chance to end the Cursed invasion, but first they have to convince their restless vassals who are on the brink of mutiny, then deal with the obstinate Skandivians who regard the Bermanians as the threat. Halgrim seeks a friend’s help to catch up with his family fleeing north, but the cost of that help might be heavier than he thinks. And Leila, dragged into a war she hasn’t sought, makes an uncalculated move that will shift the odds, but not necessarily in the Goranians’ favor.

War of the Last Day enters a starker phase as more Goranian kingdoms fall, leaving the fate of mankind in the hands of clashing factions. Unless they realize that their broken sigils and tattered banners have become obsolete, nothing will stop the Cursed from annihilating every human being in Gorania.

Now, for what you have been waiting for…

BEHOLD
