Charms Charts And Conspiracies ( Gretons Marvellous Maps Book 2) by David Green.

June 8, 2026 by Alan Behan Leave a Comment

Rating: 10/10

Synopsis

Greton of Willow returns in this sequel to the cozy fantasy neurodivergent sensation, ‘Magic, Maps, and Mischief’, a perfect read for lovers of ‘Legends and Lattes’, ‘The Teller of Small Fortunes’, and ‘Under The Whispering Door’.

Within the idyllic city of Barrow’s Hill, the elderly, autistic map maker Greton of Willow is living his heart’s desire, making his maps surrounded by his found family and owl. But, without warning, his cozy existence is challenged. When it comes to map making, there’s new competition in Barrow’s Hill…

Struggling to come to terms with such a change to the expected – and having to face challenges like extravagant dinner parties and understanding fashion – Greton stumbles upon even more mysterious goings on in Barrow’s Hill. The nefarious Cartographers’ Guild have found fresh investment and influence, mages appear everywhere they shouldn’t be, and the newly uncovered ruins beneath the hill are off limits to those deemed undesirable… Especially Greton.

With Charms, Charts, and Conspiracies aplenty, Greton strives to understand his place, and true worth, amongst his circle of friends. The mysteries continue to build, with his good name at the centre of every puzzle in the City on the Hill. Can Greton cope with the competition? Will he finally understand what he means to those he loves? And can he escape the net closing around him before it’s too late? The answers – and tea, plenty of tea – are at your fingertips…

Review

From a grimdark fantasy lover to a cosy fantasy fanatic. Damn I cant enough thanks Author David Green for introducing this wonderful and beautiful series to the world. After reading the first book in the series Magic Maps and Mischief I was absolutely hooked.

Charms Charts and Conspiracies is even better and continues the amazing tale of Greton of Willow an old sparker or mage if you prefer on his new life in Barrow’s Hill. In Barrow’s Hill he has found a home, a new family and his hearts desire Gretons Marvelous Maps deep in the heart of the Snug.

Greton is just one of those characters that you can’t help fall in love with. Ive laughed and shed some tears while reading Greton story that you feel every emotion the Author puts him through. Whether he’s on the verge of a breakdown or his love for his family and his Tawny owl Atlas.

In Charms Charts and Conspiracies we follow Greton as he becomes a spy and detective. After the discovery of the mines and its undiscovered riches in his last escapade. Greton has been refused by the chartographers guild to map the mines. Leading him to his suspicions that something is afoot.

Alot of new mages have turned up in Barrow’s Hill and when friends and people start disappearing. Greton recruits his family and friends in getting to the bottom of who’s behind it all. Leading him on a new adventure of danger and mischief and conspiracies.

Wow, I absolutely love and adore these characters. I cant help but resonate with them with all the tea swilling and cake eating that will hold a special place with me for along time to come. David Green has created something very special with
this cosy neurodivergent fantasy series for all fans who just love a good feel story.

If you loved Magic Maps and Mischief, then you are in for a very special treat with Charms Charts and Conspiracies.
Im very lucky to have received an arc copy and cant wait for Gretons next adventures. So don’t hesitate when its finally released into the world you won’t be disappointed….😁💙🍰☕️🦉🥃
