Ledge (The Glacial Trilogy #1) by Stacey McEwan
Synopsis In a place known as The Ledge, a civilization is trapped by a vast chasm and sheer mountain face. Rations are small, living is tough and there is no way to escape without befalling a deathly drop. What’s more, every season the people must present themselves as a human sacrifice to the Glacians – […]
Realm of Lore and Lies (Fair Ones #1) by Claire Wright
Synopsis In a land that harbours two realms, magical creatures and dangerous games are a way of life and death for the travelling Fianna clans. It is an honour to visit Tír na nÓg, even if the price is pretending Fair Ones don’t hunt humans for sport. Ireland native Aisling never imagined she’d be alone, […]
Review: The Ballad of Never After (Once Upon A Broken Heart #2) by Stephanie Garber
Garber’s prose is easy to read as much as it is lyrical and evocative, and her metaphors, even when a little over the top, still render her imagery amazingly, after all, their flair does fit in with the overall vibe of this story.
Review: The Book of Gothel by Mary McMyne
The Book of Gothel is beautifully woven, and full of depth and compassion. It’s adventurous, and manages to be classic and modern all at once, giving life to Mother Gothel.
Review: Ledge (The Glacian Trilogy #1) by Stacey McEwan
The perfect novel for the fantasy romance lover, with marginalized people rising up to fight the powerful creatures intent on using them as sacrifice.
Review: A Strange and Stubborn Endurance by Foz Meadows
The juxtaposition of a culture of repression to one of acceptance set up the foundation for a plot rich in mystery and political intrigue. I would recommend this for anyone who enjoyed “Winter’s Orbit” by Everina Maxwell, also published by Tor in 2021. Tor is understanding what readers want. Written in an elegant prose, A Strange and Stubborn Endurance features a world rich in depth and filled with lush descriptions that readers will melt over.
Review: The Undertaking of Hart & Mercy by Megan Bannen
Emotional, beautiful, weird, lovely, romantic fantasy.
Review: Ledge (The Glacian Trilogy #1) by Stacey McEwan
Stacey McEwan joins the ranks among the new gen of authors who are modern and inclusive in all the right ways without being on the nose nor performative for the sake of it
