May 31, 2021 by Adrian M. Gibson Leave a Comment

About Nicholas:

Nicholas Eames is the author of Kings of the Wyld and Bloody Rose (The Band series #1-2). He is also the winner of the 2017 David Gemmell Morningstar Award for Best Debut Novel, the 2017 Stabby Award for Best Debut Novel, the 2018 Stabby Award for Best Novel, as well as the 2018 BookNest Award for Best Traditionally Published Novel.

He was born to parents of infinite patience and unstinting support in Wingham, Ontario. Kings of the Wyld is his first novel, Bloody Rose his second! He loves loves black coffee, neat whiskey, the month of October, and video games. He lives in Ontario, Canada, and is very probably writing at this moment.

Join longtime friends Adrian and Nicholas for Part One of a chat about Eames’ life and upbringing, early SFF influences and nerd culture, working in restaurants, editing and working with publishers, why he no longer wears cargo shorts, and much more. The second half of this two-part interview is available to watch here. For more on Nicholas’ work, check him out on:

About Adrian M. Gibson

Adrian M. Gibson is a Canadian writer, tattoo artist and illustrator living in Quito, Ecuador. He has been a fantasy and sci-fi reader since he was a kid, growing up on stories from J. R. R. Tolkien, Brian Jacques, C. S. Lewis, Madeline l’Engle and more, as well as anime and comic books. Now, his love of the genres comes through in everyday life, seeping into his writing, tattoos and illustrations. There are few aspects of fantasy and sci-fi that he dislikes, but cyberpunk and near-future sci-fi are what really grab him—even better if it’s a character-driven story.
