Review: Synced (Gilded Blood Series #4) by Rachel Rener

October 13, 2023 by Alan Behan Leave a Comment

Rating: 9.0/10

Synopsis

War is coming – and this time, I swear it’s not my fault.

Sol and his reanimated Unseelie army are hell-bent on destroying the Seelies once and for all. Worse, he’s stolen the most priceless relic in this land – Zayn’s grimoire – along with my magic-unleashing gilded blood.

Oh yeah, and Sol’s claim is slowly killing me (though I’m so pent-up, I might actually die of horniness first).

But not all hope is lost. I somehow led the elves through the mountain, arriving at the Summer Palace in one battered, weary piece. Bonus points: I’ve expanded our ad hoc army by two hundred more soldiers – never mind the fact they’re completely untrained, three-foot-tall tommyknockers.

And, for better or worse, while Zayn was busy prepping the castle for battle, my loud-mouthed Jewish mother gained the “support” of our equally-shrill family members. Unfortunately, banshees have the power to predict the future, and our outlook isn’t looking so good.

The only way we’ll survive the impending war is by finding some mysterious “ally” in the most inhospitable, remote corner of the Fae Realm: a ghost from Zayn’s past who will either help lead the Seelies to salvation…or doom us all.

Review

What a perfect ending to a fantastic series.
I absolutely loved this whole series. It was fun, action-packed, and very spicy. Rachel Rener has wrapped this excellently written roller coaster of a read just beautifully.

Synced is the fourth and final book of the Gilded Blood series where we visit the magic world of the Fae Realm full of great
and wonderful characters that you will love and an antagonist that you will absolutely loath.

Rachel Rener is an amazing writer who hooks you from the very first page and gives everything to her readers, whether through heartbreaking moments or hilarious comedic scenes that will leave you contented with its brilliance.

This series has everything for everyone. A world so rich in magic, packed with twists and turns, fantastic worldbuilding, plot, and setting where the author transports you to a place where you can get lost and spend time with your favourite characters.

I’m sad to see this series end. It really was a fun adventure, Talia’s Jewish banshee mother was my absolute favourite. She was brilliant and so hilarious that she had me laughing out loud every time she made an appearance, a character that will live in my memory for a long time to come. Can’t wait for her short story to come out.

Now, in this final instalment, Sol and his reanimated Unseelie army are hell-bent on destroying the Elves once and for all. Worse, he’s stolen the most priceless relic in this land, Zayn’s magical ruin grimoire, along with Talia’s magic-unleashing gilded gold blood.

With this, he looks unstoppable. Sol is hell bent on making Talia his claim, making her his most powerful weapon through manipulation. The only way Talia and Zayn have any chance of survival is by finding some allies that will help put an end to Sol’s dominance and bring back peace and prosperity to the Fae Realm.

Will love, friendship, family, and good win out over evil or will darkness rule the Fae Realm forever more, read it to find out you won’t be disappointed.

If you love fun relatable characters, magic and romance, or just some good oul storytelling at its finest, then look no further than the Gilded Blood series. I very highly recommend…😁💙🦜🧜🧛
