Rating: 9.5/10

Synopsis

ONE LIFE LEFT

Nick Holleran’s life in Hell is about to get a whole lot worse.

Failing to learn from his previous escapades, Haven’s one and only Paranormal Detective stumbles through life, and makes deadly enemies in all the wrong places. Implicated in a growing number of murders, Nick scrambles to clear his name and uncover the true culprit, but old habits die hard. Sheltering his girlfriend Rosa, and their ghost ward Diana, from the harsh reality surrounding them, Nick finds himself hunted by an unstoppable creature craving blood and with few allies.

But with reality stranger and vaster than he ever realized, and long-dormant entities on the rise, can Nick Holleran put his past, and his reckless instincts, behind him and carve out a safe existence for himself and those he loves?
It’s the week of Christmas and, with one life left, Nick Holleran’s foes are closing in… And they smell blood.

Review

A Nightmare Before Christmas.

Boom, Nick Holleran is back with a bang and causing all sorts of trouble for the supernatural diety, in this fantastic supernatural paranormal blockbuster of a read and let me tell you, it is spooktaculary fun and so good.

One Life Left is third book in the Nick Holleran series by David Green and this story just goes from strength to strength with each book as the author brings us on another trip into hell with the hilarious and pain in the ass PI Nick Holleran.

Told from a first person perspective, I still can’t help hearing Mickey Rourkes voice from from Sin City as Nick Holleran regails his tales from the day he died, being brought back and really seeing what earth has always been, a playground for Demons, the dead, ghosts and all manner of supernatural beings.

I love David Greens writing, it’s creative, witty and he really knows how to grip his readers with suspense as you are thrown straight into an action-packed showdown with Lilith and her fae minions from the very first page, gripping and leaving you on the edge of seat knowing that what’s to come is going to be a roller coaster of a read.

If you love a good supernatural detective story, then look no further than this Nick Holleran series, the worldbuilding and dark setting is wonderful, a brilliant plot with with lots of twists and the characters are so fun and so relatable, whether they be ghosts, Gangsters or hard ass cops, you will absolutely love them.

After the end of book two, and run in with the Devil himself, Nick Holleran finds himself in another life and death situation with Liliths fae, as he looks to replenish his ingredients for his Expungers (a weapon for expunging bad spirits.)

After promising his girlfriend Rosa and his new adopted ghost daughter Diana, that he wouldn’t put himself in danger again going it alone. Nick just never learns and Diana has to step in and save his ass again against Lilith sending her scampering back to the fae realm.

But Nicks problems are about to get worse, as new player enters the arena looking for revenge for Lilith and he goes by the name of Sin. Nicks soul is on the menu and team fae fuckers must pull out all the stops if they have any chance of surviving this soul sucking monster.

Absolutely awesome read, I just can’t get enough of this series, if you haven’t checked out David Greens books yet, then I very highly recommend that you do…😁💙💀⚡️👹

Release date for Amazon is 4th of December, make sure you get out and get your copy, you won’t regret it…..
