Announcing the Mushroom Blues ANNIVERSARY UPDATE!

March 14, 2025 by Adrian M. Gibson Leave a Comment

I’m so excited to officially announce the Mushroom Blues anniversary update! With the one-year anniversary of the book coming up next week (holy crap, how has it already been a year?!), I couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate my debut novel and show it some birthday love.

So, what is this “anniversary update”? Well, let me tell you. ALL FUTURE EDITIONS of the Mushroom Blues paperback, hardcover, and eBook from today onward will include:

  • A TWO-PAGE FOREWORD by my friend Nicholas Eames, author of Kings of the Wyld and Bloody Rose, where he talks a bit about the book and our friendship. (Side note, the first time I read this foreword it made me cry a little, so damn you Nick for pulling my heartstrings!)
  • SIX ORIGINAL INTERIOR ARTWORKS by Romanian artist Robert Trotea (who is also a founding member of Unified Studios). You can scroll down to see each of those pieces in color and black-and-white. It was such a pleasure to collaborate with Robert on them, as he did an incredible job of bringing certain parts of the story to life. As well, the art in the paperback and hardcover editions will be black-and-white, and in the eBook it will be in full color.
  • AVAILABLE WORLDWIDE STARTING TODAY!!!

I’ve been planning this update for months now, and I’m so happy with how it turned out. It’s also a relief to finally be able to share it with all of you, ‘cause keeping secrets sucks! Anyways, happy birthday Mushroom Blues, and I hope readers appreciate your new look.

Thank you all so much for your continued support of myself and Mushroom Blues this past year and going forward <3

YOU CAN PURCHASE THE BOOK HERE IN PAPERBACK, HARDCOVER, EBOOK & AUDIOBOOK.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you’ve purchased the Mushroom Blues eBook on Kindle in the past, you can delete it and re-download it to get the new anniversary version with the foreword and interior artwork.

About Adrian M. Gibson

Adrian M. Gibson is a Canadian writer, tattoo artist and illustrator living in Quito, Ecuador. He has been a fantasy and sci-fi reader since he was a kid, growing up on stories from J. R. R. Tolkien, Brian Jacques, C. S. Lewis, Madeline l’Engle and more, as well as anime and comic books. Now, his love of the genres comes through in everyday life, seeping into his writing, tattoos and illustrations. There are few aspects of fantasy and sci-fi that he dislikes, but cyberpunk and near-future sci-fi are what really grab him—even better if it’s a character-driven story.
