About the Author
Originating from The Netherlands, Matt Falcon is the pen name of Dutch writer Thijs de Valk, a name that, like many fantasy authors, proves tricky for most English speakers to pronounce.
After a successful 10+ years career in the online business realm, culminating in his role as CEO of the popular SEO tool Yoast, Falcon sought a new path. After much deliberation and some help from his wife, he picked up his love for writing again. Two years ago he started his debut fantasy novel, Tethered to Darkness, the opening chapter of The Veil of Sands series. He’s learned a lot since, has met the awesome writing community on social media and wants to continue writing for the rest of his days.
