Some lies are best left buried deep…

Laoch, a ranger deeply scarred by the Unbeliever Crusades, seeks salvation in the dishonoured elven warrior, Sura. Together, they are thrust into a new conflict when a powerful enemy crashes into a Meister’s alchemical experiment, setting off a wave of fear and magic that ripples throughout the realm.

With Brandshold’s queen and her court awoken to the existence of soul-magic, a thousand years of lies by the Seven Gods’ Houses emerge, the deception forging cracks in the last bastions of faith and the crown against their common foe.

And amid the whispers of an ancient evil’s return, Laoch and Sura are left to face the power of their enemy alone, only for a larger threat to rise from the forest’s depths. One even the Gods fear.

For cast in iron and spiritfire – here be dragons.

Praise for the series:

“A dark ambiance that is largely unmatched by anything else I have read,” SFF Insiders

“Diabolical magic and alchemical mayhem give a dark sheen to everything,” FanFiAddict

The Warriors of Spirit and Bone trilogy continues with A City of Ashes, and finishes with A Queen in Blood.

About the Author

Nick Snape has been steeped in Science Fiction and Fantasy since his friends first dragged him from his schoolwork and stuck a book under his nose forty years ago. Lost to the world of imagination, he became a teacher by accident, passing on the joy of reading and writing to his pupils. Having retired after thirty years, he thought it was high time to practise what he preached. Nick’s books feature everything from all out heart pounding, fast-paced action to thoughtful, character driven twists on the fantasy and sci-fi genres. Genetics to Artificial Intelligence, Artifice Dragons to Soul-Eating enemies, nothing is off the menu.
