I’m so excited to officially announce the Welcome to Cemetery anniversary sale! It’s kind of hard for me to fathom that it’s been a year already somehow, but here we are. I wasn’t exactly sure how to celebrate my debut’s first book birthday, but offering up an Ebook sale seemed like a good place to start.
Starting today, the Ebook of Welcome to Cemetery (and Tales From Cemetery, cause why not!?) is marked down to just $0.99 from 3/4 to 4/10.
So grab yourself a copy and dive into a twisty crime thriller that leans a tad toward horror. If you enjoy, you can even check out the accompanying short story collection featuring campfire tales and a bonus novelette that’s a direct sequel to my debut!
Thanks to every single person who has supported me or had a kind word to say about Welcome to Cemetery; it means the world.
YOU CAN PURCHASE THE BOOK HERE IN EBOOK, PAPERBACK, & HARDCOVER

Stephen King has Castle Rock. Josh Malerman has Goblin. E. Reyes has Devil’s Hill. Now C. J. Daley welcomes you to Cemetery.
A strange town with a strange name, Cemetery, NY is filled with crime and secrets.
When a car accident one fateful night leads to a search for two missing bodies, detectives Abby Williams – an almost-thirty year old with something to prove – and Ed Reyes – a jaded, senior officer with a career as long as his partner is old – set out to solve the latest mystery.
Before long, a string of missing persons becomes a collection of bloodless bodies that has even the police pathologist stumped.
As the bloodshed continues, it becomes clear that the gruesome killings plaguing the town of Cemetery may not be the handiwork of some shadowy figure but of something even more sinister.
As detectives Williams and Reyes start to question the world around them, can they learn to put their differences aside? Or will the investigation of a lifetime be the end of their lives?
In this fast-paced small town crime thriller, nothing is as it seems.
“Beneath a web of lies and secrets, exists a small town plagued by masked figures and a growing body count. Daley shoves the reader headfirst into a nightmarish investigation where the deeper you dig, the more you realize some stories should stay buried. Welcome to Cemetery.”
—Nick Roberts, best-selling author of MEAN SPIRITED and THE EXORCIST’S HOUSE

“Welcome to Cemetery is like a stroll down X-Files lane intersected by King’s The Outsider. Cemetery is a town horror readers will be welcomed to with mangled arms and gaping chests, and one you’ll be lucky to get out of with your head. A bloody, eerie debut sure to keep you up late into the night.”

“Welcome to Cemetery moves at a rapid-fire pace, has plenty of action, and a grisly investigation. It’s a bloody good story.”
“The horror aspects of the novel are where it shines. The scenes that play on the vampire theme are immersive, thrilling and very entertaining. Overall, this book fits very well into the thriller genre. There are parts of the book that reminded me of “Silence of the Lambs”. The story is tense and dark and absorbing. The hints at paranormal occurrences, without committing to them, and the exploration of the character’s private lives, reminded me of books by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child.”
“Oooh…. and this was where the book got really good. I had no idea what to expect. I had plenty of theories…..and they were all wrong. So wrong. If you love a fast paced mystery/thriller/horror , then you should definitely check this out.”
–Sherri on NetGalley
“Overall, a solid read. There’s so much thought that goes into each character. There’s the feeling of paranoia and distrust, which happened to be my favorite thing about this book. I felt like mind games were happening the entire time. Between arguments and sketchy humans throughout the town, you immediately already get the sense that something’s very eerie and wrong, and then throw on top a lingering sense of paranoia as well as an almost isolating feeling.”
–Esther on GoodReads
“This was an absolutely phenomenal read. So many twists and turns I never wanted to put the book down. There’s nothing like reading a book by an Indie writer. you can tell how much love time and dedication was put into this read. I’m already buying copies for friends and family!!”

I have shared this in the past before, but it always strikes me as odd to have come into this sort of thriller/horror/mystery writing. I am a huge Agatha Christie fan, but horror for me is kind of a newer thing (or at least it was when I started writing around 2022). So to have my first idea that actually had the legs to become a full-fledged novel be something that dances between thriller, horror, and mystery was such a surprise to me.
I know some have said the injuries in the novel go a little far, and that’s my love for Scream coming into play, where main characters may have plot armor, but they sure as hell don’t get out in one piece…I just loved writing it, giving little nods to the stories I was discovering myself elsewhere, and also researching the background in crime procedurals and disappearances. And while real police work may not always translate to the page, one of my favorite bits in the story is the missing person article that I got to include as an actual image (and shout out a friend as a fake reporter…) and is actually how many such articles were worded in the past. Chilling, surely, but I wanted that real touch.
