About Dan:

Dan Stout is the author of The Carter Archives series of urban fantasy detective novels, including Titanshade and its sequels Titan’s Day and Titan Song. He lives in Columbus, Ohio, where he writes noir with a twist of magic and a disco chaser. His prize-winning fiction draws on his travels throughout Europe, Asia, and the Pacific Rim, as well as an employment history spanning everything from subpoena server to assistant well driller.

Dan’s stories have appeared in publications such as The Saturday Evening Post, Nature, and Mad Scientist Journal.

Join Adrian and Dan for a chat about Chris McGrath’s amazing book covers, Dan’s experiences in publishing, the craft of writing, plus deep dives into various aspects of The Carter Archives and much more. Also, as a bit of a primer for this interview (and for more audio goodness with Dan), check out David Walter’s podcast with him on Ep. 28 of Authors on a Podcast Talking Books. As well, you can read my recent essay, Why You Should Read The Carter Archives, for an in-depth analysis of my adoration for various aspects of the series and why it’s worth investing in.
